Food for party hire and reservations:

All our food is homemade, using the best ingredients, including free-range meats and eggs.

Canape menu

Each of our delicious canape platters has 20 canapes and costs £16.

We can provide canapé platters for any party or function, whatever the size. The advantage of canapés is that guests are free to mingle, as the platters are brought round.
Our Friday and Saturday night party package includes 6 platters, which will comprise a selection of vegetarian and meat/fish.  You can order  more platters for your party with at last 3 days notice.

Guests who make reservations in the main bar can pre-order from this canapé menu, with 3 days notice (or just order on the night from our bar menu).

Buffets are the perfect solution for larger parties, for special occasions, when more substantial food is required.

Buffet price A - £13/head
3 starter canapés,  main meal, with meat and vegetarian choices, two salads and bread.

Buffet price B – £17/head
As above, with two desserts, biscuits and cheese.

Bowl Food Option - £9 per head

Buffet 1 – flavours of  India

Starter canapés:  samosas, curry calls, falafel, onion bahjis
Mains: chicken tikka or beef madras or butter chicken, with rice, and lentil dahl, mixed leaf salad, Indian salad, poppadoms and naan bread

Buffet 2 –  flavours of Italy

Starter canapés: parma ham and rocket crostinis, pinenut, sundried tomato and spinach triangles, spicy meatballs
Mains: vegetable or meat lasagne or chicken & chorizo penne,  and roast vegetable risotto, red onion, tomato and basil salad, tuna pasta salad, and garlic and herb bread

Buffet 3 – flavours of Blighty

Starter canapés: baby prawn cocktail, pork pies, filled Yorkshire puddings
Mains: sausage and mash casserole or fish pie, and vegetarian cottage pie, potato salad, mixed leaf salad, crusty bread.

Buffet 4 – flavours of North Africa

Starter canapés:  Babaghanoush, pitta bread, chargrilled aubergine, pepper and courgette kebab
Mains: moroccan chicken or lamb with rice, and roast vegetable couscous or vegetable bake, spicy potato salad, mixed bean salad, herb bread

Buffet 5 – flavours of Europe

Starter canapés: smoked salmon blinis, spinach and feta triangles, 
Mains: beef bourgignon with dauphinois potatoes, and vegetable moussaka, Caesar salad, mixed leaf salad

Desserts:
eton mess, cheesecake, chocolate or strawberry mousse, apple crumble, banoffee pie, tiramisu, profiteroles, trifle, individual chocolate brownies (all home made) 

 

Bowl food menu

A third option is to have a selection of 3 canapes, followed by a bowl of warm food (choose from the main meal option list above – choose a meat and vegetarian option). The bamboo bowls and forks enable guests to stand and mingle whilst eating, and can be re-filled until all the food is gone!
